The homepage is the first page that loads up on your WordPress site. It is typically the most visited page on your site, and should be designed to attract users and convert them into subscribers or customers.
Most websites use a static website as a homepage.
When you first install WordPress, it usually shows your latest blog post on the homepage by default. But if you want to use a different page as your homepage, that’s possible too.
WordPress makes it easy for you to set any page as your home page. You just need to know how to do it properly. Follow these steps to set a page as homepage in WordPress:
- On the left side in the admin dashboard, click on “Settings”, then on “Reading”.
- Change the first setting “Your homepage displays” to “A static page”.
- Now you can select the page you want to set as the Homepage from the dropdown menu.
- Click the "Save Changes" button down below to save your changes.
Now open up your website and check if is correctly changed to show your selected page.
